make limited claims about what appears to be the case (or technically, what appears NOT to be the case). But religion and philosophy make claims about what SHOULD BE.
Any halfway wise scientist understands that. Otherwise, it is mere Scientism, a sort of armchair speculation–a manifestation of a set of cultural beliefs.
And “scientists” who claim to have proven TRUTH are not actual scientists at all. They need to go back and read Karl Popper! (there is no verification, only tentative falsification)
The ONLY way to “prove” something true scientifically is to account for ALL variables (both known and unknown, including space and time). And that is not possible. In short, there is only correlation, NO CAUSATION.
And anything with a 100% correlation is, by definition, trivial.
So is science useful? OF COURSE! I myself am a scientist. But we need to acknowledge the very real limits on what science can reveal to us.
NO EVIDENCE. Kick that around your brain for a bit! Chew on it a bit. No evidence.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has found “no evidence” which proves medical-grade face masks protected vulnerable people from COVID-19, according to a new study.
SO, there were very few decent studies, and what pathetic stuff there is doesn’t support masking, so there is NO accumulated scientific evidence for it. There’s not even crappy evidence for it! None. Nada. Zilch.
There is some quasi-religious belief and onanistic rumination, but no actual evidence. …Huh.
Here’s a clue as to why the Left did this (and duped MANY quite decent people along the way):
Those who dared to question the effectiveness of face masks were called anti-vaxxers, far-right neo-nazis, vilified across social media, and sometimes attacked physically.
The Left wanted to crush their enemies, and they knew that once people started docilely going along to get along, these same people would make up fairy tales to justify their faith behavior. As the famous Alexander Pope saying goes:
Vice is a monster of so frightful mien, As, to be hated, needs but to be seen; Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face, We first endure, then pity, then embrace.
Look, I get it–the ONLY way you could continue to work and to feed your family was to go along. YOU were forced. I totally understand, and there but for the grace of God go I.
I’m NOT saying that people followed this path because they are intrinsically evil. Not at all. But recognize that you got “flipped.” And once you start behaving a certain thing, you almost always come to really believe it. You become “converted.” That’s how human beings work.
But please, don’t allow that to “flip” you forever. Now is your “come to Jesus” moment. Put aside your (literally) damnable pride. Follow the science. Fearlessly ask hard questions. Follow the truth!

The most accurate group was conservatives, with very conservative being the best, and very liberal being the worst. It’s not even close. Liberals have no idea what the truth is, and they believe the very worst to be the case.

As a sort of provider myself, I understand. I fortunately wasn’t faced with it, but would I be willing to face loss of income in order to stand for truth? I sure hope so. But it was an amazingly difficult test.
But many providers were weighed in the balances and found wanting. I understand. And there but for the grace of God go I. But let’s be honest–it was still a massive failure.
The first one is that there is just not enough time in the known age of the universe for evolution to happen, statistically.
Another problem has been referred to as “irreducible complexity.” Let’s take the famous “I Pencil” example. Now a pencil is FAR less complex than a living being, but even that is far too complex.
There IS no “survival value” to any of the many steps it takes to turn graphite and plants into pencils. It only makes sense IF the process is goal-directed (and by definition, that is NOT Neo-Darwinism).
Let me put it another way: What “survival value” is in a quarter of a mammalian eye? In order to believe in Darwinism, I have to assume it sprung out fully formed. Just by sheer luck a zillion parts came together.
I just don’t have that much faith in Neo-Darwinism!
why WOULD you? Let’s face it, from a scientific point of view, the mRNA vaccines are crap. Besides, why on earth would I get the vaccine when I have already had Omicron? THAT is totally non-sensical!
