But the goal here from the very top was quite transparently NOT to seek justice. It was to act as the “palace guard” for Joe Biden. And it was very successful at its intended goal.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking this was just stupidity. It certainly wasn’t! It was an effective tactical move.
