ALWAYS a hoax.
And there have been an awful lot of hoaxes–the BYU racism hoax, most recently.
But it’s now to the point where wise people just assume it is a hoax until proven otherwise. And that’s a shame, because real things might happen and we just throw them out with the trash of all these false allegations.
Once people falsely cry “wolf!” too many times, it is hard to get the villagers to come running again, even in a real event…
False allegations do a TON of harm to innocent people.
