My assertion is that Democrats have worked hard to create a culture of narcissism, starting with a bogus “self-esteem” movement that began when they were in early grade school. So people (especially Leftists) are just very unlikely to directly confront any personal mistake at all! Personal humility is just not in their nature.
It is a culture of pride, and that pride locks them into their narcissistic way of being.
