just dang kooky! It’s just embarrassing!
I had a professor in Boston who always spoke with a very thick Boston accent. It made sense–we were in a famous Boston university and she sounded like a native.
But she was born and raised to adulthood in coastal California. She also did ALL her schooling in California, through a doctorate. It seemed fake to me.
Can you say, “strange?” I mean, she was indeed brilliant, but THAT is pretty odd.
