I confess to being surprised that Biden has agreed to participate. His handlers must think that with a few days rest, and with no audience to boo him, Biden can muddle through with performances that won’t kill his campaign. I suppose they calculated that it would be worse, politically, to allow Trump to say that Biden is afraid to debate because he is senile.
But the playing field is pitched wildly in favor of Biden, of course!

- RFK Jr. is banned
- Trump’s mic is muted when Biden speaks
- Only hosted by NPR, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, or CBS
- Moderated by Democrat-aligned reporter
So yeah, with these conditions, Biden will (possibly) participate.
