Oh sure, it is interesting. Kinda. But not really. It is very much an empty gesture—he will still caucus with the Democrats and he is gone at the end of this year, anyway. So it is mildly interesting, but only just. It’s not like anything has changed in the slightest about him!
And it’s classic Joe Manchin posturing—it sounds like it really means something but it actually doesn’t. If he were a serious man he would have gone over to the Republicans long ago. But he is NOT a serious man. It’s all show and bluster–a show to fool the rubes.
