El Presidente for life! They declare themselves the ancient Roman office of Dictator.
In fact, that was exactly the situation with Julius Caesar. He either destroyed the Republic by marching on Rome itself, or faced charges, ruin, and exile.
We ALL know what he chose. He illegally crossed the Rubicon into Rome with troops. And most of us would have chosen the very same thing…
