On Friday, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Fischer v. United States that a federal obstruction law does not apply to January 6 protesters. The case affects hundreds of individuals who participated in the mostly peaceful “breach” of the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Those sentences will all need to be reviewed now.
