And it’s true: I VERY much wanted Biden to hit the low rung of the ladder–and he did! That makes it far harder for Democrats to replace him with a better candidate. And ANYONE (but Kamala) would be better for them!
No, this is the “sweet spot” for Conservatives: Joe Biden is very obviously a bumbling dotard. But he has done just barely well enough to not be kicked to the curb.
