win? It’s hard to say, but it is clear that right now that she is perhaps not quite as unpopular as Joe Biden. And why would I think that would substantially change with more exposure?
How do you solve a problem like Kamala?
Maybe Harris would be stronger than Biden. Again, Biden is weak. But, again, Harris has largely been shielded from view and might do worse under scrutiny. I love Yglesias’s attempt at boosting Democratic morale with the prospect of “large numbers of brief, reasonably friendly media appearances.” Aren’t we already sick of Kamala’s overly friendly encounters with squishy interviewers? Do something tough and challenging for a change!
And from the comments, a sentiment that, while it has long been true, is no longer whispered and a source of embarrassment; Denied if pressed. Rather, now it is the now-preferred defense of Leftism itself!
There are people who are going to vote for Joe Biden regardless of how unfit he is. People who vote party not person, I actually happen to be one of those kinds of voters, when it comes to the general election especially.
Translation: “I would vote for a rotting potato if it had a ‘D’ after its name!”
