How MANY of

us feel about what we are seeing right now:

Remember, we don’t really have a universally-accepted specific time as to the fall of Rome. We might date it to Caesar crossing the Rubicon, or before that–to Sulla, or after that–to Augustus.

But understand well that the Romans at the time had no idea that Rome had fallen. They had lives to live, they had kids, they were married and given in marriage, etc. Sure, there was the occasional Visigoth around, but let’s be culturally inclusive–some of them were great people!

And so it is with us. Will future historians date the beginning of the fall of the United States to the Election of Barack Obama, to Joe Biden, to Kamala Harris? To the rise of the Deep State? Back to the election of Jimmy Carter? There are good arguments for each.

But it is simply not likely that we as a culture and country will know for sure that we have “fallen” no matter when future historians date it to. It is only in retrospect that such a claim will be convincingly made! But hopefully, future people will learn from this.

I dearly hope the United States is the one to learn from it!
