is going to hit the fan.
But actually, I don’t think Hunter has a thing to worry about. Trust me, his dad WILL pardon him.
Except… let’s say that Joe strokes out and dies within a few minutes. Or at least he loses consciousness and never regains it. He is 81, after all, and such things do happen. So he has no time to pardon Hunter before he dies or finishes his journey to total vegetable-dom. And, of course, Kamala is by no means disposed to do it.
Is there in a safe somewhere a Hunter pardon? That way it could be taken out even if Joe were to die suddenly. But would such a pardon be valid? THAT would for sure go to the SCOTUS. It would be argued (by Hunter) that Joe, in fact, pardoned Hunter when alive, it just didn’t come to light until after Joe was dead, so it’s valid.
It is an interesting question as to whether such a pardon would be valid. Probably yes. Of course, politically it would be a HUGE mess for Democrats, but it’s not like Hunter would care one whit about that. And Joe would be dead and thus very obviously wouldn’t care!
