“white knuckle” Democrats,* don’t you just get tired of never being authentic? I mean, to walk around knowing that if people knew what you really believed they would reject you out of hand? I mean, you have to always wear a mask. THAT must be exhausting!
Now, people in heavy Democrat areas don’t really have that problem in the same way or to the same extent. But MANY in more normal areas do! They have to act one way but have this nagging realization that who they present to be and who they really ARE are quite different things.
It’s not easy to be a “whited sepulcher”–to look good on the outside but inside to be full of drag queens and all manner of impurity…
*People who are desperately hanging on as Democrats out of tradition or out of a deep-seated desire to display as “smarter than your average bear” in order to be OK as a human being.
