Now don’t get me wrong, for those of us with post-grad educational intentions, the undergrad is necessary. And there are many for whom it was indeed a very good option, even without graduate work.
And there are some important personal and family benefits to it, as well. Still, all post-secondary education is NOT created equal.
We need to factor in the expenses. Me paying a total of $18,000 a year and working to pay for it as I go along is absolutely a defensible thing. Me paying $50,000-$100,000 a year and doing little else is perhaps not.
