Newsom is DONE on a national scale. Sure, there are enough stupid people in CA to keep him around there, but he has been SO incompetent that no “regular”person across the nation would ever vote for him.
So he has pretty much “topped out” in terms of political office. No matter what, his will never be a compelling national “brand.” It’s just too easy for an opponent to point out the obvious weaknesses in his campaign.
