overweening narcissism of the Left prevents it from changing. The result is that it is FAR from nimble–it is unable to take the first step on the journey to change: To admit that you were wrong and decide to do differently.
A person that stomps their foot and insists that they are right and the world is wrong can just NEVER change. They are stuck at step one, and they will be until they confess. Hitting “rock bottom” actually helps the process, but even hitting rock bottom doesn’t necessarily lead to change! There are LOTS of bums on “skid row.”
