I think it’s pretty much over. ALL of Trump’s nominees are going to be confirmed. The “resistance” has failed. And that’s a good thing.
There’s just no reason that the President cannot get his own people into positions. If they are qualified, they need to be approved.”Advise and consent” does not mean, “agree with.” The bar actually is quite low.
But I think that the left is opposing his choices because they are deathly afraid that they might be successful. Conservative success is the one thing that the Left fears most. They don’t want it to be clear what the actual facts are. But they cannot run a fear-based destruction campaign in the face of actual choices. And they are rightly afraid of a comparison.
So it’s like the proverbial crabs in the pot. One of them cannot get a leg up without the others trying to grab him and drag him down. And that is exactly what the Trump opponents are trying to do. It is the attitude of, “If I can’t be successful, no one can be successful!” Because they simply can’t afford to be shown up.
