If you wonder why people are leaving the Democrat party in droves, you need to look no further. No one wants to be seen as siding with the kooks. It’s not just that they are leaderless, without any rational policy, consumed by Trump hatred, immorality-supporting, and generally freaky. It is that there is an extremely noisy part of the Democrat party who is very much openly aligned with kooks.
And it’s just not a very attractive look for normal people.
