quit lying, Democrats? It’s just nauseating! Look, it really is destructive to democracy itself to have you keep lying and obfuscating. When you lie, people don’t get to choose between two real options.
Because you’re not giving them a real option! You’re giving them some pie-in-the-sky crapola. I strongly suspect that you lie because you know that regular people will not tolerate you if you tell the truth. Your policies stink so bad that no regular person would ever go down that path. The only way you get votes, is by lying about you actually are.
Come to think of it, that’s all almost all Democrats are. That’s how they get elected in the first place—by pretending to be something they are not (see: Mitt Romney). Without dishonesty, there would never be another Democrat elected in a place where there are Conservatives.
