And that’s a big issue. Leftists on campus are simply no longer avant-garde–they are merely garde. In order to pull a prank in college, you almost always have to do something that offends the woke-scolds, the stick-up-the-butt Lefty schoolmarms. And college students are famous for pulling rather sacrilegious pranks. I seriously doubt this is the last time we will see this kind of thing happen. In fact, now that this has continually happened and gotten some publicity, I bet we will see this kind of thing often repeated. Lefty-religious pomposity just begs to be skewered!
Conservatives don’t really squawk much when they get pranked. In fact, if it is a good prank, they may laugh along with the prankster. On the other hand, Leftists cannot tolerate being the butt of a joke. There is no humor in leftism, comrade!
Everything is deadly serious for the Leftist, and any joke is an existential threat to their ego. Whatever is funny will be a “micro-aggression,” at least. That’s why comics like Jerry Seinfeld refuse to do on-campus shows anymore. Leftists have no sense of humor at all, and that is the bottom line. All they have is anger if their own “sacred cows” are gored, no matter how gently.
