It’s a horrible idea. The obstacles are HUGE. All it would do is hand control to the Democrats–THEY are not naive enough to fall for this crap! And if Elon doesn’t like how Republicans spend, just wait ’till he sees how the Democrats squander cash and dole out payola!
It would disproportionally weaken the Republicans. You can already start a caucus within the current system, like the Freedom Caucus. A new party has never, in the last 150 years, worked worth crap.
