They want you despondent and inert. Because they then can do whatever and there is at most a weak peep out of you. And so they write articles with HUGE implicit bias. Not argument based on evidence, mind you, but talk about something else where the bias is a given.
It is often subtle (though the article I linked is pretty ham-handed). But the point is to have you accept the basis of the bias. Once you accept the major and minor premises, you are necessarily locked into the conclusion.
So the major and minor premises are shrouded in “everybody knows” and such things. You know, the underlying current of “All smart people believe this–are you smart or dumb?“
And that very same question that the Left uses happens with other vocabulary. Other very similar examples are sane/crazy, paranoid/normal, and wise/foolish.
