DUH! Of course they did! And THAT makes them legally useless. The files are irredeemably corrupted, and so are worse than useless. Anyone who makes a claim based on those files will get sued successfully for defamation.
I don’t like it, either. Yet that is where we are.

Reasonable doubt. That is all that is needed in a criminal prosecution. And it’s there in Spades!
So Righties, you can whine that it is cosmically unfair (and it is). You can’t say that it is disgusting (and it is). But they’re still no way to base a prosecution on that evidence.
