primarily a religious movement. Once one is “converted” to Leftism, there is the very same thing we see with religious cults. The primary thing is there is a huge avoidance of any idea, any fact, or any person who might argue against the standard, orthodox Leftist view. And that view is constantly changing. Only those who are very much “into” the cult can really keep up with all the changes in doctrine. And so know me these things because a mark of allegiance and identity.
And there is also this famous tendency for Leftists to break off any friendship or even familial relationship with anyone outside of the Lefty “Circle of Safety.”
