“Biden” administration, Vance (particularly) and Trump care about your privacy. This is a major win. Great Britain basically had to back down.
Look, I understand that there is a crime-fighting aspect about having “back doors” to all cell phones. But the price is a total police state. No one is safe. And how would one know whether or not a critic had his or her phone altered through the “back door” that the government had? It seemed like this would be a very effective way to silence critics!
The government having the power to monitor and perhaps alter individual cell phones is more than a bit disturbing. It circumvents justice and makes all charges unreliable. It turns the courts of justice into kangaroo courts–mere show trials.
