Trump’s genius is choosing people who have been materially damaged by the deep state to run or be a directing part of important organizations that have formerly been subverted by the deep state.
Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Hegseth, and many, many others fit that model. It is absolutely a Trump strategy. And it is a very effective strategy. These people are not likely to be seduced by the “deep state.” And they are quite likely to fight against it.
