on this green earth are Democrats fighting Trump on reducing crime in DC? Well, I think the is a combination of two reasons:
- The first is pretty dang obvious. It is obvious Trump Derangement Syndrome. NO MATTER what side Trump takes, they will take the other side. So in this case, they ally themselves with robbers and rapists.
- The other issue is pure self-dealing. If Trump succeeds, it PROVES that he is correct and that they have long been shirking their responsibilities. If he succeeds, Democrats may lose votes from people grateful to finally have less crime in their neighborhoods. Particularly Black neighborhoods.
Both of these are powerful motivators for the rabid Left. But for normal people? Not so much…
