the Democrat party is both huge and abrupt. And the conversion of the party to the very hard Left is almost complete. Again, we are seeing the two sides of the chasm get progressively wider and wider, and now they really cannot be straddled. They certainly could in 1990. And with your eyes squinted half-closed you could in 2020.
But that was 15 years ago. And you can no longer pretend and retain a shred of conceptual consistency. You WILL jump to one side or the other because you must; Your “mugwump” blurring of lines is just getting to be no longer tenable, even with pretending and turning a strategic blind eye. At some point you will have to rise up and declare what you truly are.
