Let’s see if I have this right: Trump wants increased enforcement and less violent crime (and he has actually done it in DC), so Democrats have the knee-jerk reaction of pressing for MORE crime and violence. Because… Trump. Huh.
It’s really that simple. They think violence is bad until Trump says that it’s bad. As many have remarked, if Trump cured cancer, the Democrats would come down on the side of cancer.
I’m not sure that position plays in Peoria, so to speak. Maybe it works in the Lefty extremist bubble, but its appeal (in the immortal words of Ian Faith of “This Is Spinal Tap”) has become very… selective.
