how Lefty types just don’t want to argue. They often try to sound all noble about how they don’t want conflict, but the reality is that it’s not that they don’t want to, it is that they can’t. At least, they can’t logically and persuasively. So they avoid it. And they will try to blame the other side for their avoidance of intellectual debate. Sad.
And this is not just with the national leaders. This is exactly how almost all Lefties on any level act. Why? Because at heart they are afraid. They often have a sneaking suspicion that maybe they are wrong, and they don’t want to be proven wrong. Because then what would they do?
No, better that they stay within their cult-like “Circle of Safety” and never have to persuade someone who doesn’t quite believe what they say than to leave the fetid Lefty fever swamps and face the biting breezes of reality. Better the mirror of Erised (that gives one neither truth nor knowledge) then a real mirror that shows me that I have sticking up hair! Better to lose a friend than to be shown to be wrong.
And this is a very pervasive problem for the Left. But it shows that their views are far too brittle to sustain the weight of logical argument.
