Donald Trump a hatchet, and by darn he is gonna swing it! My only fear is that Dems will cave too quickly!

The Democrats may have thought they were playing hardball, but instead, they gave Trump the perfect excuse to do what conservatives have wanted for decades: trim the federal bureaucracy down to size.

… For conservatives, the situation is nothing short of delicious. The Democrats’ strategy was intended to pressure the president, to force him into a political corner during the shutdown. Instead, they handed him leverage to do what he and many conservatives have long argued is necessary: cut waste, eliminate redundant agencies, and expose the parts of government that serve partisan interests rather than the American people. 

… Democrats thought they had the leverage and could force Trump into giving them what they want, but they gave him a political green light to do what few presidents have had the courage or the opportunity to attempt.

Oh! Do anything, Lefties, but don’t throw me into that briar patch!
