into the “black pill” crowd. They are split into two, which we will talk about shortly, but they both have the exact same aim–that they must get you discouraged and inert. And they are both epistemically closed–they are NOT open to other information. They already have their beliefs, and there can be no more beliefs! Epistemically closed.
You know the black-pill people–they are quick to tell you that ALL politicians are liars, that it makes no difference who you vote for, because they are all equally corrupt. They preach bitterness and surrender. They preach a resentful passivity. They are glum, and they want you to be glum, too. You know, misery loves company…
But it’s not true. Look at Virginia for example. They elected a militant Lefty as governor, Spanberger, who has quickly dunked the whole state into misery. Now that she’s in charge, she’s going to tax the crap out of you! You can almost hear her say, “Bwahaha!”
The speed of the destruction of Virginia has been nothing short of dumbfounding. And all it took for the triumph of this evil was, as the old saying goes, for good people to do nothing. For the black pills to win out.
And this should serve as a warning to you. The freedoms you have can be taken away in an instant. How you vote really does matter. Because if you are complacent or inert or angrily black-pilled, you are meat on the hoof for people who would destroy you. Your state and your community depends on you to carry on and not get black-pilled.
OK, let’s talk about the two types of the black pill people. The first is a group of people who are basically innocent themselves (more or less), but who are led down to despair by the black pill crowd. They themselves to not sit out to be evil. But they are discouraged and inert. They have been infected by a better poison, and they can’t help but spread that bitterness to others.
The second group is far more deliberate. They typically want people to be discouraged and inert. It is a very calculated strategy for them. The more inner you are, the more likely that their “Tribe” will win.
They often use ridicule and superciliousness to pose as “smarter than thou” and act like anyone who doesn’t agree with them is just stupid and uneducated. For them, Leftism is a sop to their ego–Leftism is part of their self-identity and there is this threat of the annihilation of self if they are shown to be incorrect. So they hold to Leftism with a white-knuckled religious intensity.
If you are able to successfully argue with them, they will quickly no longer be your friend. Basically, they have joined a type of cult, and they only have friends who are within the cult. Otherwise, they may be confronted with rational arguments for which they have no answer.
Of course, most of those people are mixture of those two. But they usually lean to one end or the other.
