THAT is what is so gobsmacking to me. How do Democrats (and RINOs) oppose this when such a huge majority of all people want it? In some ways, it does not make sense to me.
I mean, there are obvious other ways in which it does make sense. Sure, Democrats rely heavily on voter fraud in order to stay even a little bit relevant. But oppose this? With this level of public support? I guess they know that if it goes through, the jig is up for them. It threatens their very existence as legislators.
The SAVE America Act is gaining traction as one of the most widely supported election reform proposals in recent American history. Despite its popularity, Congressional Democrats continue to resist the legislation.
…Polling data indicates strong support for the act’s core provisions across party lines. A Harvard CAPS/Harris poll found that 81 percent of Americans favor voter ID requirements, with similar levels of support observed in studies by Pew Research Center and Gallup. Furthermore, 83 percent of Americans support proof of citizenship for voter registration.
