And that is exactly what has happened here. Trump has shown himself to be the “alpha” and has brought the Iranians to heel. But none of that will work worth diddly squat if the threat is not real. And with Trump, the threat is very obviously real.
Which is the only reason why the Iranians have been brought to the negotiating table. It is the only reason they have opened the Straight of Hormuz. They would never have negotiated had it not been for a character like Trump on the other side. And Trump is a very good negotiator!
