again deal with Mills? It kinda looks like she is making a run. Like a horserace where the horse in last place suddenly starts gaining on the horse in front. In most ways I hope that Platner stays in the race and wins the nomination. I think he is a significant and very public embarrassment to the Democrats, and that he is much more likely to lose. Mills is much more of a conventional candidate, I think she actually has a better shot. So yeah, I hope she stays out of the race.
Further, there are several national Democrats from around the country who have endorsed Platner. And it would be a very big embarrassment for them to have him go down in flames over his moral failings. Already, many national Democrats are trying to back away from him and hedge their bets.
