the partnership can last. Right now, they are bound together out of a shared desire for power. But that can’t last all that long. Because they are fundamentally incompatible, and that is willfully ignored right now.
If they “win,” one side will quickly strangle the other (see: Stalin killing Trotsky). Literally, in Islam’s case!
The American Left is at a bit of a disadvantage in such a contest. They will hesitate to actually kill Islam. Islam is not at all bound by such niceties, and will very quickly and joyfully (literally) kill those on the Left. Lefties will hesitate a half second before pulling the trigger. Islamists absolutely won’t.
And if the team loses, one side will quickly savage and blame the other–neither one actually tolerates the other very well–they have very different and incompatible beliefs. One side WILL die and one side will live on. But which will be which? I dunno.
