It has been a Lefty, nay, cultural article of faith–received wisdom–that Richard Nixon was uniquely evil to the core. You know, a more evil Darth Vader. But is that actually true?
Sure, it fits the lefty narrative, but that in and of itself makes me a little suspicious. I mean, the left is also the ones who have made it an accepted ‘truth’ that the NAZIs were on the right, when obviously they were national socialists and on the Left. In other words, some of the Lefty lies have gone very deep. Is this one of them?
Over the past two decades I’ve been directly involved in politics and/or media. I’ve been lucky/had the misfortune to be a direct witness to newsworthy events and then to read/see the media coverage of those same events. If you’ve had that experience, you understand where Murray is coming from. He knew Belushi, personally, they were friends and co-workers. He did not recognize the Belushi that appeared in Woodward’s book.
