See, one does not at all need to be a Christian believe–western society is based on Christianity–it is shot through with Christian morals. It is part of the whole western civilization thing.

There is a sense that it’s wrong to lie or to steal or to murder. But some folks (like the Somalis) have no such cultural demands. For them, they might not lie, but ONLY because the cost-benefit of lying is not favorable in a specific case. BUT, if it is, it’s not like there is anything intrinsically wrong with lying! It’s totally different mindset. And we in the west would be well-served to understand what we are dealing with.

hope so. But I’m a bit “beat down” on thinking Democrat politicians will ever face justice. They almost all of them seem to have a bulletproof and unlimited “get out of jail free” card. Why that is I really don’t undertand, but it’s undeniable that it IS.

So yes, I certainly hope Ilhan Omar faces justice. I am just skeptical that she will. Democrats tend to value their party’s appearance well above justice, so I very much doubt that they won’t continue to protect her. No, it’s not right. But it’s what I expect to happen.

A two-tier justice system? Absolutely. But now, there is the glimmer of a hope that one of the most brazen leftist scofflaws, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu), may actually face justice. It looks as if she will get off scot-free for making $30 million disappear on her financial disclosure forms, but the bit about marrying her brother, which is less about incest than it is about immigration fraud, could still end her ugly career as a Somalia-First American legislator.

… Will Ilhan Omar actually end up being deported? If there is any justice, yes, but unfortunately, she has too many friends and supporters among the Democrat Party establishment to make that a likely outcome.
