I think cold weather

is good for Trump.

Quite honestly, I think that cold Iowa weather very much helps Trump. Think about it: Trump voters are highly motivated. They are convinced that Biden cheated last time and are more attached than ever to Trump. They have a score to settle. Trust me, they will go out in very cold weather to vote for Trump.

In fact, you might hear them mutter softly as they walk in to vote, “My name is Inigo Montoya… I want Trump back, you son of a bitch!

On the other side, who is actually excited by, say, Nikki Haley? Uh, no one. DUH! She’s just a run-of-the-mill RINO squish. Yeah, her voters might find it too cold to actually go out. But the higher the “price” for voting, the better it is for Trump.

Actually, that is virtually always the case in general. And that is why voting by mail and “motor-voter” schemes are such a horrible idea for the country. You don’t want voters who are too unmotivated to put down their Funyuns and Mountain Dew in order to go vote influencing an election!

Well, Democrats do. Because those are their voters. But the rest of us have better sense than that.

Here’s more COVID

damage that we are seeing: The death of trust in experts. COVIDIANS can’t tell the Truth any more than a dog-faced baboon or some still stranger creature! (thanks, Socrates–though he seems to have mostly been addressing biological reductionism–still, it attaches here)

And I agree, that current thinking is mainly a result of the university focus on a jaded and cynical Post-Modern know-nothingism (though it is almost totally un-self-conscious). Because if there IS no non-meaningless fact and ALL is a Nietzschean will to power, there is no “Truth,” even in what the “experts” are saying! THAT is Post-Modernism!

Yes, the legacy of COVID is Nietzschean. Or Nihilistic, actually.

It’s not the death of God that we are facing (as Nietzsche famously argued), it is the death of trust in experts. For many, the belief in God is very much alive! But belief in experts? Eh, it has taken a bit of a hit, lately…

Sure, but

don’t get cocky!

A 9 point margin is solid. At least, it used to be. In days gone by, the generic ballot favored Democrats, and if it was even close, it portended a GOP victory. I don’t think that is still true.

How do we get

people to do vaccines?

I think that is exactly the wrong question. I don’t think vaccine willingness has shifted one iota.

And the photo is of a child with measles? REALLY? If the mRNA shot worked as well as the measles vaccine, we wouldn’t be having this conversation, now would we?

Well, if the government stopped freakin’ lying that would sure be helpful in addressing hesitancy! Look, I am NOT against vaccines. I have even recently used them (shingles and pneumonia), often recommend them, and find them to be of great value. Some of my friends don’t believe that, and I have no desire to try and force my beliefs on them. None whatsoever.

BUT, the COVID mRNA shot is simply not a vaccine. It doesn’t protect against infection. It doesn’t prevent transmission. It doesn’t even decrease severity of symptoms. IT IS NOT A VACCINE! So let’s not confuse my stance on vaccines with my stance on the COVID mRNA jab. Those are two totally different things!

And the risk-to-benefit ratio for the mRNA shot is ALL risk and no intrinsic benefit! So for me, no–I won’t take it. YOU do whatever you want. I don’t want to coerce you, and I have no intention of letting you coerce me.

It seems

very possible. And can you just imagine the Lefty howling in frustration and agony if New York State electorally went for their residents Trump and Stefanik?

I’m liking

Ramaswamy more and more.

Yes, I want Trump to be re-elected. I just think he is a safer bet. But I gotta be honest and say that I like what Ramaswamy has recently done. I like the cut of this man’s jib!

See, the problem

is that Republicans, in football terms, have locked themselves into only playing “prevent” defense. Well, it’s high time that they went on offense. Make them react for once!

Basically, it has been that Democrats pull some crap and then the Republicans rather lackadaisically try to plug that particular hole. In the meantime, Democrats are busy drilling a new hole in the dike of Democracy…

Well, it’s time for a change in strategy. And yes, I blame the milquetoast Romney-esque RINOs for this horrible problem. They have deliberately weakened Republicans as much as possible! Perhaps they were just dupes, but it seems to go well beyond that.

Current Events Disgusting!

Yeah, pretty

much!

That’s right, sports fans, the woman who decided to go big or go home with a RICO case against Trump thought it wise and prudent to turn the whole thing over to her married side piece.

And THIS is more than a little true:

One of the more galling aspects of the turmoil surrounding Donald Trump since 2016 has been watching Democrats who are loathsome people thinking that hating Trump places them on high moral ground.
As I am fond of saying online: Yeah… no.

The people who are most vehement about keeping Trump off the 2024 ballot because it’s the “right” thing to do have long struck me as a collection of bottom-feeders who would sell their mothers for beer money. Until now, New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg has seemed like the biggest reprobate of the bunch. He may yet prove me right but, for the moment, there is a new lowlife champ in town.

I think most people are sickened by this gross immorality. Oh, I’m not talking about mere adultery. Yes, yes, that kind of stuff happens, and while sad and deplorable, is certainly not earth-shaking.

In this case, what IS breathtaking is the utter disregard for social norms, the dishonesty, the prancing and preening, the lawfare cheating, the self-dealing, the stealing from the public treasury!

THOSE are the truly offensive things.

Like so many Democrats, Willis and her bedmate believe themselves to be part of a governing elite who aren’t bound by the laws and rules that apply to the hoi polloi.

This is sticking a finger in your eye! So now, are you going to do anything about it, or are you just going to lay supine on the ground and hope that your rulers deign to give you a belly rub?

REALLY?

You don’t say!

The motion alleges that Willis hired private attorney Nathan Wade to act as her special prosecutor in her vast, convoluted RICO case against Trump and 18 others who dared pursue legal remedies for what they believed was a compromised 2020 election. She did this despite having more than one attorney within her own office who was perfectly capable of prosecuting the case. And she did it despite Wade being unqualified to handle the biggest case in Fulton County history, as he has never actually prosecuted a felony RICO case before. So why would Willis hire him?

The alleged answer is that the married father of two was tapping the dirty DA. And this opens up a whole can of big, fat ethical and legal worms that are now squirming exuberantly atop Fanis’s prosecution house of cards.

But wait, there’s more!

Strike Three is the mutually self-serving financial benefit both Willis and Wade received from the arrangement. “…a review of the amount of money that the special prosecutor has been paid by the district attorney and the personal activities of the district attorney and the special prosecutor during the pendency of this prosecution shed light on just how self-serving this arrangement has been,” wrote Merchant in the complaint. The power pair are accused of enjoying trips to Florida and Napa Valley and indulging themselves on tropical cruises, among other extravagances

Lousy Democrats! (to quote Homer Simpson)
