Yes, the

battery/storage problem totally dooms wind and solar power. But here are the arguments I have heard:

Yes, it sucks right now, but by subsidizing it you encourage people to invent things in this area. Technology will eventually save us, and we will someday be able to spin gold out of straw.
We use REALLY big, commercial batteries, not drugstore Duracells (NOTE: the technology is exactly the same, and bigger is in no way qualitatively different. It is just MANY drugstore Duracell batteries bound together!)

In other words, the amount of energy storage that Germany is planning for 2031 is between 0.016% and 0.036% of what it actually would need. This does not qualify as a serious effort to produce a system that might work.

The bottom line is that wind and solar suck. You can say that it will work someday. To which I say, “Yeah, maybe…”

It’s pretty clear

what most people want. Unfortunately, it is the exact opposite of what “Biden” wants (the real Biden just wants a chocolate pudding cup and knows little else–it’s his evil clown posse that has filled the power void).

makes the most sense to me? The European “Greens” are getting paid off by Putin. Rationally and logically that is the explanation that makes the most sense.

Oh not directly–that would be unbelievably ham-handed of both parties. In fact, the “Greens” are probably not even really aware of it. It works better that way–two parties can keep a secret so long as one of them is dead…

But Putin could easily create shell corporations that would financially support the “Greens.” See, the “Greens” went from a fringe bunch of wackos to a real political force in a political nanosecond. Even 10 or 15 years ago they were not visible to most people.

So what makes me say that? Cui bono? THAT should lead you to knowledge “pay dirt.”

See, Europe has HUGE natural gas reserves, and if they ever started accessing them, Putin would be totally hosed. So he supports (behind the scenes) those who oppose such European energy independence.

Restrictions on European energy production are BOTH very good for Putin and quite socially trendy. Therefore, Putin supports European “green” energy. DUH!

Just look what is happening right now in Germany (and across Europe). They are literally starving and freezing for fuel, and Putin holds the whip hand, here. Don’t do as I’d like? No NordStream for you!

They either do as they’re told, or they freeze and starve…

Cui bono?

See, like most Leftism, “Green” works best when there are other, effective options working behind the scenes. That way the mindless Lefties can both proudly wear the “Green” badge AND turn up the heat on a chilly day!

If you are pushing solar or wind, you are NOT a serious environmentalist. You are just playing “environmentalist dress-up.”

I think electric cars ARE pretty much doomed if we don’t get this fixed.

Even more than the rather horrifying range issues, THIS is a dealbreaker! And waiting for it to charge is a problem, as well.

Until we get a quantum leap forward in battery technology, EVs just won’t work. Same with wind and solar power. Let’s face it; We can’t yet spin straw into gold. ALL you have is hydrocarbon and nuclear energy, with a decorative dollop of hydropower. EVERYTHING else is a total waste and an environmental nightmare!

NOTHING else makes a lick of sense. Which is why wind and solar have to be subsidized! Things that really work don’t need to be subsidized…

And if you are FOR the environment, you are NOT for wind and solar power.

So he humiliated himself and his country. For nothing (for us). Yep, that’s Joe Biden! Why didn’t he get more oil from Texas or by opening the Keystone pipeline?

Why? Because he was never actually serious about making things better for regular Americans. Never. He just wanted to look like he cared and wanted to help. As they say, Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it…

It’s not as if he made a good try and failed. I think we ALL could have accepted that if that had been the case. It’s that he never actually tried, and this was all just Kabuki theater!

YOU need to understand that this was all for show. And there were untold man-hours involved with making this trip happen, at HUGE expense to you.

One of my old close friends was arm’s length from POTUS for a couple years, and you would be dumbfounded at the preparation and work it takes for a trip like this to happen!

But yeah, it was a train wreck.
