I think

“Woke Fatigue” is a real thing. I DO think the wokesters’ 15 minutes of fame is rapidly drawing to a close. The whole Lefty wokester song and dance is getting pretty dang long in the tooth. And rather annoying.

It’s old and stale–regular people just aren’t going to buy it much longer. They are already turning away. Look at the data: Bud Light is tanking, and is probably a dead man walking (InBev will replace it). Target is bleeding out, perhaps on the way to K-Martville. The NFL has seriously offended their fans, who are becoming less and less willing to spend on their team. And baseball?

I used to eat at Chick-Fil-A with the Mendelian Spousal Unit (MSU) at least twice a month–but I haven’t gone there at all since they crumped and went woke.

They pooped in the proverbial soup.

So can these companies outlast the righteous indignation? I don’t know–we shall see…

What a HUGE misstep this was! People need to be fired. And an abject apology from A-B. But it will never happen. If they admitted the depth of their mistake, cleaned house, and abjectly apologized they might be able to rebound. But again they won’t.

I’m not at all sure Bud Light will even survive. I mean, it probably will–A-B is huge and is counting on this whole thing blowing over after a few weeks or months. And it might.

BUT, there is starting to be a cultural shift among beer drinkers where people don’t want to be seen with a Bud Light. It has become a meme, a cultural signpost. And it is starting to infect other INBEV brands.

See, regular people are torqued about being hosed over again and again by soi-disant elites. They are incensed by the grotesque and in-your-face unequal justice re: Hillary Clinton, the Epstein clients, Hunter & Joe Biden, etc, etc, etc. ALL these people are both guilty as Hell and free as birds.

The fact that A-B would use a pathetic cross-dresser to advertise their beer just shows you how out of touch they are. It pulls the curtain back. Honestly, what would you have to believe in order to do THIS? It just seems like an assault on who you ARE.

And understand the broader context. YOUR hard-earned money keeps being sent to Ukraine–a famously corrupt state that Biden bragged about interfering with to protect himself and his son. Indeed, there is a strong suspicion that this is yet another Biden scam, at least in part.

I mean, the IRS is not a forgiving bunch, yet Hunter was allowed to get something like a million bucks behind in taxes? YOU try that and see if you’re not stylin’ the latest shade of orange!

People are just sick of the manifestly unequal justice. They feel helpless and victimized. And so when “Tranheuser-Busch” tried to ram tranny crap onto beer drinkers, there was suddenly a viable target for regular people. Thus, A-B got the brunt of people’s righteous anger–what A-B did was just another in a long line of affronts to normal people. And people could make them pay–the people were not powerless.

Democrats should take heed of this massive undercurrent of anger. People are looking to take the mickey out of them in 2024. Sure, Democrats will depend on voter fraud, but the backlash is real–ask Joe Manchin…

I don’t believe that this will kill A-B. There are too many brands, too much diversification for that.

Still, there is some broader backlash….

And that wasn’t all the good news, either. The Post added, “Meanwhile, as beer drinkers discover how many other beer brands fall under the Anheuser-Busch umbrella, the backlash is widening, according to the fresh data.” Even “Anheuser-Busch’s smaller US brands also got dinged, with its Natural Light brand down 5.2% and its Busch Light seeing a 1.8% drop.” Marvelous.

According to the Post, the hemorrhaging is just increasing: “The company’s flagship Budweiser brand took an 11.4% sales hit for the week ended April 29. Sales of Bud’s Michelob Ultra brand — the third-biggest-selling in the US behind No. 1 Bud Light and No. 2 Modelo Especial — were down 4.4%, according to Bump Williams data.” Bump Williams himself summed it up: “It’s not just a Bud Light issue. It’s an Anheuser-Busch portfolio problem now. “ [emphasis added]

Twitter under Elon was just ahead of the curve!

But I strongly suspect that Elon’s Twitter is a major impetus for these staff reductions (at least with Meta). See, there is now competition, and other sites have “lean up” and get more efficient in order to compete–in order to even survive.

Facebook parent Meta announced a layoff of about 10,000 employees while closing an additional 5,000 open jobs. It was the second round of mass layoffs, after 13 percent of its staff, or 11,000 workers, were laid off in November last year. [emphasis added]
