Chris Murphy and Democrats are frantic to use a lame, “Yeah, but you do, too!” defense. So while it doesn’t really fit, they need to paint this latest assassin as a “Right-Winger.” Of course it is not actually true, but we are seeing the last defense of a scoundrel (see “Bill Clinton”). So they are desperately trying to gin up a “You, too!” movement.
But it won’t work, you know…
Most people are starting to realize that the Left is inherently violent, and getting a bit of heartburn about being associated with them. Who wants to be part of THAT?
Their ONLY defense goes like this: “Sure, I got caught with my hand in the cookie jar, but my sister Jane also did some pretty bad things and in fact has a bag of potato chips hidden in her closet! We both are guilty–it’s not just me!”
