Those who don’t follow politics closely could be forgiven for not knowing that because the Democrats aren’t having any primaries that might expose how flawed and issue-ridden Biden is. They think they can get away with such a strategy because they hid him in the basement in 2020 and they don’t want to risk it in 2024.

DeSantis certainly can’t win, as things stand. And neither can Haley. But there is NO WAY DeSantis should quit while Haley is still in the race. See, Haley is a Trojan Horse.
Her strategy (and that of her backers) is to subsist on the LARGE amounts of money the Left is giving her until DeSantis drops out. Then Trump is somehow prevented from running and… the Leftist Nikki Haley gets the nomination.

Carlson said that Haley wasn’t a conservative and he walked through the reasons why. He pointed to her Aspen Institute comments, which he said indicated that she was weak in dealing with the illegal alien crisis. He also didn’t think she had a conservative reaction to the BLM riots. He also hit her on spending for Ukraine and her position on climate change as well. Perhaps most of all, Carlson was disturbed by her position that people should register to be on social media which he hit as not a conservative position.

The problem for Democrats is this: If the laptop is genuine, we need to deal with the obvious Joe Biden corruption described therein. THAT is why Democrats (and Joe Biden himself) have been SO anxious to discredit it.
reason Democrats are fighting so hard to put Trump in jail or to otherwise get him off the ballot: He will otherwise crush Biden in the election. It is election interference, pure and simple.
Now, the only task is to keep DeSantis running. The Democrat ploy is to keep Nikki Haley flush with money with the idea that DeSantis will eventually have to quit, Trump will fall prey to Democrat legal machinations, and then the Leftist Nikki Haley will be the only one left.
At that point it doesn’t matter if Haley wins or not–she is nearly as Leftist as Joe Biden. Plus, she is electorally weak, and few Conservatives actually like her or would vote for her. She is Mitt Romney in Manolo Blahnik pumps.
