As we’ve documented here at RedState, despite promising to release his full tax returns every year as governor, Newsom only released full tax returns for the 2017 through 2020 tax years, and only did that because he was required to in order to appear on the 2022 primary ballot for his re-elect. That law requires gubernatorial candidates to release their five most recent tax returns, but since he had filed for an extension on his 2021 taxes he only produced four years worth of returns.

Of course, Democrats like not having the SAVE Act because they depend on voter fraud in order to gain and keep office, and it would drastically reduce their power if the voters had to show that they were actually eligible to vote.
Don’t kid yourself, Democrats very much want voter fraud. It is how they can hold onto power. And for them, power is everything. Why Thune is helping them is beyond me. It’s hard not to come to the conclusion that there are malicious intents involved, here.

I have no idea what will actually be found that he participated in, but I strongly suspect that he did in fact participate in some pretty bad things. Maybe not enough will be found to convict him, but his political career is at a bit of a standstill now. If nothing comes out and he keeps his mouth shut, he will probably be OK. he will be wounded, but not dead, politically.
But…
An unnamed Democratic strategist who knows Gallego personally said of his 2028 ambitions: “I think he is done.” A second anonymous strategist said Gallego’s brand – constructed around the idea of a straight-talking, authentic new kind of Democrat — “took a direct hit this week.”
The real problem would be if other things came out.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) appeared on CBS News’s The Takeout with Major Garrett and accused Gallego of his own unspecified misconduct – including allegations she described as “sexual in nature” and potential campaign finance violations.
