of the “moderate,” pro-life Democrat is OH-VAH! Any person who calls themselves a Democrat is pretty dang extreme, now. That wasn’t the case 30 years ago, but it is now.
If a person calls themselves a Democrat now, they are for sure for infanticide abortion. They are also for sure in favor of illegal immigration. They are for profligate spending.
Democrats are now synonymous with “crazy.” It certainly didn’t used to be that way, but it is now. Sane Democrats used to be a dime a dozen. Now? Not so much.
Those are just the modern facts of life.
Maybe someday there will again be moderate, “blue dog” Democrats. Maybe. But today is not that day…
