forced military “service” is simply NOT going to work well for Russia. The best outcome for them is resentment and cannon fodder.
A draft wouldn’t work well in the US, either. Hence the reason it is so vehemently opposed by US military leaders. People in general are far too individualistic and much less patriotic than in the past. Plus, in case of actual duress, there are plenty of volunteers. Dying in Ukraine to keep Joe Biden’s financial scams secret? Not so much…
