Look, by no means do I think she is a Conservative. I think she is less reliable than even Joe Manchin. But she feels the cultural winds shifting, and thus is willing to display that she is not really a Democrat.
But she is. She caucuses with Democrats. Her vote, along with Joe Manchin’s (Manchin is playing the same game), gives Democrats a Senate majority. She talks a good game, and I do indeed welcome her dissent–I’ll take it. But she is NOT a Conservative. She is a “sometimes” ally at best, and really, that’s all.
