Bad Faith

So just why

did he cave? Maybe he knows what side of the bread is buttered!

… the voucher program faced fierce opposition from the Pennsylvania State Education Association, the largest teachers union in the state. That opposition was enough to stall the state budget past its June 30 deadline, leading Shapiro to back down.

Promises, schmomises…

In early September, fairly late in the campaign, Shapiro broke with many Democrats by quietly voicing his support for “adding choices for parents and educational opportunity for students and funding lifeline scholarships like those approved in other states and introduced in Pennsylvania.” His Republican opponent, Doug Mastriano, proposed his own voucher program that would have also cut education spending significantly.

OH surprise! He caved.
