Democratic operatives believe that Joe Manchin’s decision not to seek reelection virtually ensures the party will lose his Senate seat next year in deep-red West Virginia.
And what would be even worse for Democrats is if he ran a 3rd-party campaign. But I really don’t think he will. He is, at heart, far too much of a Democrat partisan to do anything that might hurt the Democrats.
I guess he could run, but I very much doubt that he will. I strongly suspect that he is just a run-of-the-mill partisan Democrat, though he hides it for PR purposes.
But even if he runs, Ronna ROMNEY McDaniel will ensure that Republicans lose, on the whole…
